Definition:

Active Input is the process of actively reproducing language from existing spoken or written material, rather than only passively listening or reading (passive input).

Why it matters:

Many learners try to study their way to fluency, but forget to train their mouth and brain to reproduce the language. Understanding and reproducing are two different abilities. Active input bridges that gap by making you physically recall the pronunciation, rhythm and cadence, so your speaking becomes more “automatic”, making it sound natural and effortless.
